HOOKSETT — A bomb threat called into a Shaw’s supermarket in Hooksett was determined not to be credible after an investigation by multiple agencies, police said Monday.

The Hooksett Police Department responded to the grocery store in the Hooksett Village Shops shortly after 12 p.m. after receiving notification of the threat.

Officers were joined by the Hooksett Fire Department and the New Hampshire State Police bomb squad at the scene.

Authorities conducted a sweep of the area and determined there was no danger to the public.

The store has reopened and customers have been allowed to return to the area.

Police remained at the scene to continue their investigation into the source of the threat.

During the initial response, the public had been asked to avoid the area while emergency personnel assessed the situation.
