BATH — A Bath woman was arrested after allegedly violating an order of protection by unlawfully entering a residence, Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reported.
Amanda L. Smith, 33, of State Route 415, was arrested March 21 following an investigation into a reported violation of an order of protection in the Town of Bath.
Deputies allege that Smith entered and remained unlawfully in a residence with the intent to commit a crime, violating a duly served order of protection.
Smith was charged with burglary in the second degree, a class C felony, and criminal contempt in the second degree.
She was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail on $500 bail.
The Bath Village Police Department assisted in the arrest and investigation.
