WEBSTER — A 58-year-old man was arrested Monday after police executed a search warrant at his apartment and found an illegal firearm and cocaine.
Lloyd Price was taken into custody at approximately 6 a.m. when Webster Police Officers and Detectives, along with the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (CEMLEC) Regional Swat Team and an Environmental Police K9 unit, executed a search warrant at 58 Negus Street, apartment #5.
The search warrant stemmed from an investigation into illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
CEMLEC Swat surrounded the building and called Price out of his apartment.
Price and another man complied and were handcuffed.
During the search, officers located a .22 caliber handgun containing ammunition behind a television.
A glass vial containing cocaine was also found in the apartment.
Price, a convicted felon who is federally prohibited from possessing firearms, was arrested on multiple charges including possession of a firearm without an FID Card, firearm unattended, possession of ammunition without an FID Card, ammunition unattended, and possession of a Class B controlled substance (cocaine), subsequent offense.
Additional charges may be filed at a later date.
