GRANBY — A suspicious package discovered at the entrance of the Granby Public Library prompted an evacuation Tuesday morning before authorities determined it posed no threat.
The Granby Police Department received a report of the suspicious package at approximately 10:06 a.m. on March 25 at 15 B North Granby Road.
Officials evacuated the building and secured the surrounding area as a precautionary measure to ensure public safety.
Officers conducted a thorough investigation following appropriate safety protocols.
By 11:10 a.m., authorities determined the package posed no threat, and the library and surrounding complex were reopened to the public.
The Granby Police Department thanked the community for their cooperation and patience during the brief disruption.
Officials confirmed there were no threats or safety concerns to the community.
