Providence man arrested for vandalism at Lincoln Woods Barracks

PROVIDENCE — A 41-year-old Providence man turned himself in to Rhode Island State Police on Monday, March 24, at 11:30 a.m. on charges of vandalism and disorderly conduct.

Victor Ramos Roman, of 66 Fairview Avenue Apt. 204, was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and transported to Sixth District Court for arraignment.

In a separate incident, troopers arrested Marlon Vargas Alvarez, 32, of 1 Ware Court, Providence, at 2:30 p.m. the same day for driving under the influence.

Alvarez was charged with first offense DUI with a blood alcohol content of .15 or greater, registering 0.243 in phase one testing and 0.233 in phase two.

The arrest occurred after troopers responded to a disabled vehicle blocking traffic on Route 95 North in Providence.

Alvarez was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released.
