OWEGO — The Owego Police Department responded to 220 calls for service and made six arrests during the week of March 10 through March 16.
Among those arrested was Shakeem J. Williams, 24, of Binghamton, who was taken into custody on an arrest warrant issued by New York State Police out of Endwell for dangerous drugs.
Williams was turned over to NYSP custody for arraignment at Broome County Centralized Arraignment Court.
Regan D. Tapia, 22, of Owego, was arrested for fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment following a domestic incident on River Street.
Tapia was transferred to Tioga County Sheriff’s custody for arraignment at Tioga County Centralized Arraignment Court.
Maurice J. Nembhard Lackner, 29, of Ithaca, was arrested for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and operating an unregistered motor vehicle after a traffic stop on North Avenue.
Nembhard Lackner was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Village of Owego Court.
Three individuals were taken into custody for mental health holds after being reported as dangers to themselves, including a 17-year-old male from Binghamton, a 26-year-old male from Newark Valley, and a 12-year-old male from Owego.
All three were transported to a hospital for medical treatment.
The department also reported two motor vehicle accidents and issued eight traffic tickets during the week.
