OWEGO — The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jonathan Patton, 32, of Owego on March 18 on an arrest warrant issued by Tioga County Court.
The charges resulted from an indictment for two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a class D felony.
Patton appeared in Tioga County Court and was released on his own recognizance, scheduled to appear at a later date.
In a separate case, the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division arrested Edward T. Renwick Jr., 61, of Binghamton on March 5 at 12:55 p.m.
Renwick faces two counts of endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person in the first degree, both class E felonies.
He is also charged with one count of endangering the welfare of a vulnerable elderly person, or an incompetent or physically disabled person in the second degree, a class E felony.
The arrest followed a week-long investigation into an incident reported at a Broome Developmental Center residential care facility in the Town of Owego on Feb. 25.
Renwick, an employee at the facility, is accused of causing physical injury to one resident and engaging in conduct that endangered the welfare of a second resident.
He was arraigned in Tioga County CAP Court, where an order of protection was issued, and released pending future proceedings in the Town of Owego Court.
