CLINTON — An Oriskany Falls woman was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop in Clinton, according to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol.

At about 1:27 p.m. on March 23, a deputy assigned to the Oneida County Stop DWI Patrol conducted a traffic stop at Cliff’s Gas Station in the Village of Clinton.

The stop led to the arrest of Tara L. Gaudin, 43, for Driving While Ability Impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor.

Gaudin was subsequently found to be in possession of two bags containing heroin and was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, a class A misdemeanor.

She was also issued tickets for several other violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law related to her vehicle operation that led to the original traffic stop.

Following arraignment, Gaudin’s license was suspended after she refused to provide a chemical test to determine the drug content of her blood.

Gaudin was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
