NEW ROCHELLE — A Bronx man has been arrested after allegedly slashing another man with a scalpel during an altercation at a New Rochelle gas station.

Police responded to reports of an assault near the intersection of Main Street and Woodland Avenue at approximately 3:25 a.m. on March 24.

Officers found a 27-year-old male victim who told police he was walking home from Drake Main Café when he encountered two males entering the gas station.

According to authorities, a verbal altercation escalated into a physical attack, during which one suspect slashed the victim across the face with a scalpel.
