HENRIETTA — Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 20-year-old man following a three-hour standoff at a residence on Lehigh Station Road on March 24.

Deputies responded to a home in the 1400 block of Lehigh Station Road at approximately 5:28 p.m. after receiving a 911 call from a female who mentioned a gun before the line disconnected.

Upon arrival, deputies found the occupants uncooperative until the 17-year-old victim who made the call approached them outside.

The investigation revealed that the victim was visiting Douglas Mealing when, following an argument, she left the house.

Mealing allegedly confronted her outside, forcibly took her phone, and returned to the residence with the victim following him.

During the continued argument inside the home, Mealing reportedly made threats involving a handgun.

Due to the reported presence of a weapon, deputies took precautions and successfully convinced all occupants to exit the residence without incident at about 8:50 p.m.

Douglas A. Mealing Jr. of Henrietta was charged with robbery in the first degree, a class B felony, and grand larceny in the fourth degree, a class E felony.

Mealing was arraigned in Henrietta Town Court and remanded to the Monroe County Jail on $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bond.
