BOSTON — A 42-year-old Scituate man was arrested Monday evening after allegedly breaking into an apartment in Jamaica Plain, according to Boston police.
Officers from District E-13 responded to 72 Walnut Park at about 6:41 p.m. following reports of a breaking and entering in progress.
Police were informed that the suspect had entered the apartment through a rear door and exited through the basement front door.
No belongings were reported stolen from the apartment, authorities said.
Based on a description provided to officers, the suspect, identified as Michael Paul, was located near 2044 Columbus Avenue.
During a search following his arrest, officers discovered a plastic bag containing drugs in Paul’s sock, along with two glass pipes.
Paul faces charges of breaking and entering for misdemeanor, trespassing, and possession of Class B drugs.
He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
