WATERBURY — A single-vehicle crash on US Route 2 sent one person to the hospital with minor injuries Monday afternoon.
Troopers from the Berlin Barracks responded to the crash near 1536 US Route 2 at approximately 3:58 p.m. on March 23.
The driver was identified as an 18-year-old from Morristown.
Investigation revealed the teen was traveling east on US Route 2 when his vehicle struck two mailboxes and a utility pole.
A passenger in the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado was transported for minor injuries and as a precautionary measure.
The pickup truck sustained totaling damage in the crash.
Whether the teen was wearing a seat belt remains under investigation.
Waterbury Fire Department, Waterbury Ambulance, Green Mountain Power, and Bee There Towing assisted at the scene.
