OXFORD — A local woman was arrested after allegedly failing to provide food and water to a dog for several days, according to the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office.
Brenda L. Manwarren, 37, of Oxford, was charged with torturing or injuring animals/failure to provide sustenance on March 9.
Deputies discovered the alleged neglect while investigating an unrelated incident in the Town of Oxford.
According to authorities, Manwarren failed to provide proper food and water for the dog over a period of 3-5 days.
Manwarren was issued an appearance ticket for the Town of Oxford Court and released.
