NORWICH — A Guilford resident was arrested Thursday after allegedly causing a disturbance at the Town of Norwich Court.
Terry L. McConnell, 57, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt following the March 13 incident, according to the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said McConnell initially entered the courtroom and began acting disorderly.
After being told to leave, McConnell allegedly exited but returned shortly afterward.
Authorities reported that upon his return, McConnell again acted disruptively and refused to comply with orders.
McConnell was taken into custody at the scene without incident.
He was processed and released on an appearance ticket to return to Town of Norwich Court at a later date.
