LOWELL — Vermont State Police arrested a 30-year-old transient man Monday after responding to a trespassing and weapons complaint on Bousquet Road.

Investigators determined Peake was prohibited from possessing firearms due to a previous conviction for a violent crime.
Troopers responded to the Bousquet Road address at approximately 3:34 p.m. on March 23.
Peake was later located in Newport where he was issued a citation.
He faces charges of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number.
