FLEMING — A 33-year-old Auburn man was arrested on felony charges following a domestic violence incident in the Town of Fleming, according to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office.
Justin K. Nwajei was charged with Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree, a misdemeanor, and Aggravated Family Offense, a felony, Sheriff Brian Schenck reported.
Deputies responded to a domestic violence complaint on West Lake Road near the traffic circle at approximately 9:37 a.m. on March 15.
Upon arrival, deputies determined that a domestic incident had occurred between Nwajei and a female victim.
Investigation revealed that Nwajei had kicked the door to the victim’s residence, causing damage.
The felony charge was based on Nwajei’s previous criminal convictions, according to the sheriff’s office.
Nwajei was arraigned in CAP Court and remanded to the Cayuga County Jail without bail.
Authorities noted that Nwajei is currently on parole after being released from state prison in December 2024.
