SAGAMORE BEACH — A Fall River man was arrested Saturday night after a police chase ended when his vehicle struck a Bourne Police cruiser on Scusset Beach Road.
At approximately 8 p.m., the Bourne Police Department assisted Massachusetts State Police with a vehicle that failed to stop.
The vehicle was traveling westbound on Route 6, approaching the Sagamore Bridge when the pursuit began.
Massachusetts State Police continued pursuing the vehicle as it crossed the Sagamore Bridge, merged off Route 3, and turned onto Scusset Beach Road.
Bourne officers assisted State Police during the chase.
The vehicle struck a marked Bourne Police cruiser while attempting to elude officers.
The male driver from Fall River was taken into custody by Massachusetts State Police without further incident.
No officers were injured in the collision.
The suspect was transported to a local hospital with apparent minor injuries.
Massachusetts State Police are currently investigating the incident.
