UTICA — Two men face multiple weapons charges after Oneida County Probation officers discovered a loaded .380 handgun during a residence search Thursday.
The search occurred at a home on Faxton Street on March 20 as part of supervision requirements for a resident.
Probation officers contacted the Utica Police Department after finding the weapon in the kitchen area.
Akii Lockwood, 45, of Utica, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, and criminal possession of a firearm.
Ramel Lockwood, 40, of Utica, faces identical charges of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, and criminal possession of a firearm.
Both men were transported to the Utica Police Department following the discovery.
