FRAMINGHAM — A 41-year-old Framingham man was arrested on drug trafficking charges following a routine traffic stop Thursday night, according to police.
Officer Matt Mangano pulled over the driver at approximately 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of Waverly Street and South Street.
During the stop, police discovered the man had an outstanding warrant.
A subsequent investigation led to the discovery of 44.5 grams of crack cocaine, police said.
The suspect was charged with trafficking 36 grams or more of cocaine, in addition to the existing warrant.
He is scheduled to be arraigned Monday morning at Framingham District Court.
