SENNETT — A 57-year-old Auburn man faces multiple felony charges following a child exploitation investigation that uncovered illegal weapons and child sexual abuse material, New York State Police announced Wednesday.
Randy Foster was taken into custody on March 18 after turning himself in at the State Police Auburn station.
The arrest stems from a July 24, 2024, search warrant executed at a residence on Miller Road in the town of Sennett.
During the search, investigators discovered multiple high-capacity rifle magazines and seized numerous electronic devices.
Forensic examination of the devices by the Troop E Computer Crimes Unit revealed Child Sexual Abuse Material on multiple devices, according to police.
A Cayuga County Grand Jury indicted Foster on Jan. 27 on charges including promoting a sexual performance by a child, five counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child, and three counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
After processing, Foster was transported to the Cayuga County Jail to await arraignment in Cayuga County Court.
