TROY, NY — A suspect was arrested by Troy Police Patrol Officers during a traffic stop Sunday evening after he was found with a stolen, loaded firearm.
Shortly after 5:30 p.m. on March 16, Troy Police Afternoon Patrol Officers stopped a vehicle in the area of Old 6th Avenue and Jacob Street.
The driver, identified as Xzayvion A. Hay, 22, of Troy, was found to have a suspended New York license.
He was subsequently arrested, and his vehicle was towed.
During the investigation, officers discovered a stolen, loaded handgun in the driver’s vehicle.
Hay was taken to the Central Station for processing and later held for arraignment in Troy City Court.
Following his arraignment, Hay was remanded to Rensselaer County Jail.
He is charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating an uninspected vehicle, and failure to obey a traffic control device.
