YONKERS — On March 17, at about 10:34 p.m., Troopers from SP Tarrytown observed a red 2021 Audi traveling on Central Park Avenue in Yonkers in violation of the vehicle and traffic law.
During the traffic stop, Troopers located a loaded Smith and Wesson 9mm handgun in the glove box, which was illegally possessed.
The driver, Maurice W. Walker, age 23, of Ossining, and the passenger, Zachary J. Bonner, age 23, of Ossining, were both charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the 2nd degree, a class C felony, and criminal possession of a firearm, a class E felony.
Walker and Bonner were transported to SP Tarrytown for processing and were held for arraignment.
