SHEFFIELD — A Sheffield man sustained minor injuries after his truck rolled on Vermont Route 122 Friday afternoon.
Raymond Cranton, 43, was traveling south on Route 122 near Oregon Brook Road at approximately 4:35 p.m. when he swerved to avoid wildlife, according to Vermont State Police.
Troopers said Cranton briefly left the roadway, lost control of his vehicle, and then returned to the road where his 2008 Ford truck rolled over.
Cranton, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported to Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital with suspected minor injuries.
The truck was totaled in the crash and removed from the scene by Cochran Transport.
Vermont State Police were assisted at the scene by Lyndon Rescue, Sheffield-Wheelock Fire Department, and Lyndonville Police Department.
Road conditions were reported as dry and weather was clear at the time of the accident.
