NEW LONDON — Police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred in New London as 20-year-old Avery Rivera of Ledyard.
Rivera was killed during a weapons incident on March 18 in the area of 22 Moore Ave., according to a news release from the New London Police Department.
The investigation into the shooting remains active, police said.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the New London Police Department’s Detective Bureau at 860-447-1481.
