PELHAM — A Hudson man faces driving under the influence charges after his car crossed the center line, struck a tree and flipped over early Thursday morning.
Kevin Monteiro, 36, was driving north on Windham Road when his 2014 Toyota Corolla crossed the double yellow line near 331 Windham Road at 12:07 a.m., according to Pelham police.
The vehicle struck a tree and a large rock on the opposite side of the road before flipping and landing upright, police said.
Monteiro suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital by the Pelham Fire Department.
Officer Dakota Clark investigated the crash and determined Monteiro was impaired, police said.
Monteiro was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and reckless operation.
He is scheduled to be arraigned at Salem District Court on April 7 at 8 a.m.
