Pawtucket police, task force arrest 3 in major fentanyl bust

PAWTUCKET — Members of the HIDTA Task Force, assisted by the Pawtucket Police Department Special Squad Narcotics Unit, arrested three men on March 19 on multiple drug charges including possession of over 1 kilogram of fentanyl with intent to deliver.

Rafael Perez, 26, of Pawtucket, was taken into custody at his Weeden Street residence.

Michael Morales, 26, of Providence, was also arrested in connection with the operation.

Christopher Vizzacco, 28, of West Greenwich, was the third suspect apprehended during the coordinated effort.

All three men face identical charges: possession with intent to deliver over 1 kilogram of fentanyl, possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, possession with intent to deliver cocaine, and controlled substance conspiracy.

The suspects were processed at the Lincoln Barracks before being transferred to Sixth Division District Court for arraignment in the afternoon.
