REMSEN — The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office reported that a school bus driver from the Remsen Central School District has been arrested following allegations of unsafe driving behavior.
According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, a report was received on March 5 about a school bus driver operating in a hazardous manner.
An investigation revealed that Donna M. Worden, 58, of Cold Brook, intentionally drove a Remsen Central School bus recklessly in the Town of Remsen.
This conduct resulted in injury to at least one student and posed a danger to all students on the bus.
On March 20, following the investigation, Worden was arrested.
She has been charged with one count of third-degree assault, 13 counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and 14 counts of second-degree reckless endangerment, all classified as Class A misdemeanors.
Worden is scheduled to appear in Remsen Town Court at a later date.
