MANCHESTER — Manchester Police have made an arrest in connection with a stabbing that occurred last week.

On March 12, around 9 p.m., officers responded to Elliot Hospital after receiving a report of a man arriving with a stab wound.

The victim told police that he was riding in a truck with two men when one of them became agitated.

The driver pulled into a parking lot, and the victim attempted to calm the man down, but was unsuccessful.

The situation escalated when the suspect approached the open passenger side window, reached in, and stabbed the victim.

The victim and the driver quickly left the scene and went to the hospital, where the victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Through their investigation, police identified the suspect as 39-year-old Deon Harris of Manchester.

On March 19, officers located Harris in the city, arrested him, and charged him with First Degree Assault.

Harris is scheduled for arraignment in Manchester Circuit Court today, March 20.
