Lincoln police make multiple arrests in drug, fraud cases

LINCOLN — Members of the Rhode Island Major Crimes Unit and HIDTA Task Force arrested four individuals on March 18 on various charges including drug possession, fraud, and outstanding warrants.

Catia Carvalho, 33, of West Warwick, was arrested by the Major Crimes Unit on charges of obtaining money under false pretenses and computer access.

She was arraigned in Sixth Division District Court.

Rashaun Williams, 35, of Central Falls, was arrested by the HIDTA Task Force on multiple charges including possession with intent to deliver cocaine and crack cocaine, and controlled substance conspiracy.

Elias Sarkis, 29, of Lincoln, faces similar drug charges as Williams, with an additional charge of resisting arrest.

Both Williams and Sarkis were processed at the Lincoln Barracks, special arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and transferred to the ACI Intake Center pending morning arraignment in Sixth Division District Court.

Brian Piescienski, 42, of Cumberland, was arrested on three separate warrants for failure to appear in court on charges including driving without the owner’s consent, larceny, and assault and battery.

Piescienski was also processed at the Lincoln Barracks and transferred to the ACI Intake Center pending morning arraignment.
