GATES — Police executed a warrant on Wednesday, March 19, at a residence on Canal Landing in the Town of Gates, leading to the arrest of three individuals in connection with illegal firearms possession.
The Gates Police Department, with assistance from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, conducted the raid following an investigation that revealed the residence contained illegal firearms.
Officers recovered a loaded 9mm “Ghost Gun,” a loaded FN .40 caliber handgun, and a sawed-off shotgun from the location.
Cameron Dickerson, 23, and Darnell Butler, 24, both of Gates, were arrested and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a firearm, a Class E felony.
Karnell Labord, 22, also of Gates, was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a Class D felony, due to a previous conviction.
All three suspects were arraigned before Judge Cassara in Gates Justice Court and subsequently remanded to Monroe County Jail on bail.
