EVERETT — Members of the Everett Special Criminal Investigations Unit executed court-authorized search warrants on Spencer Avenue in Chelsea on Wednesday, resulting in two arrests and the seizure of significant quantities of illegal drugs.
The operation, led by Everett police with assistance from the Chelsea Police Department, targeted drug trafficking activity in the Greater Boston Area.
Eric Serrano, whose true identity is pending further investigation, was arrested and charged with trafficking fentanyl over 200 grams, with approximately 1,138 grams seized.
Serrano also faces charges of trafficking cocaine over 36 grams, with approximately 63 grams recovered during the search.
A second male at the scene, Felix Agromonte, was arrested by Chelsea police on four outstanding warrants from various agencies.
Agromonte’s warrants included charges related to shoplifting, resisting arrest, assault and battery on a police officer, larceny over $1,200, conspiracy to violate drug laws, possession with intent to distribute Class A, and possession with intent to distribute Class B substances.
Authorities also seized approximately $12,000 in U.S. currency, several cell phones, and drug distribution-related items during the operation.
The Revere Police Department, Salem Police K9 Unit, Massachusetts State Police K9 Unit, and DEA Task Force 2 provided assistance during the investigation.
