ENFIELD — A 34-year-old Enfield man has been indicted on federal cocaine trafficking charges following the discovery of drugs, firearms and more than $350,000 in cash, authorities announced Thursday.

Rahkeem Blakley pleaded not guilty before U.S. Magistrate Judge Thomas O. Farrish in Hartford on Wednesday.

The federal grand jury indictment, returned on Feb. 13, charges Blakley with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, which carries a maximum 20-year prison sentence.

According to Acting U.S. Attorney Marc H. Silverman, law enforcement searched Blakley’s Main Street residence on Sept. 12, 2024, seizing five handguns, magazines, ammunition and approximately $73,000 in cash.

Investigators also searched two safety deposit boxes at a Springfield bank connected to Blakley, where they discovered more than $280,000 in cash.

Blakley has remained in custody since his arrest on related state charges in September 2024.

The indictment also seeks forfeiture of all firearms and cash seized during the investigation.
