WALTON — Delaware County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Warwick man Tuesday after responding to a domestic dispute in the Village of Walton.
Jacob Goodman, 26, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a class E felony, and second-degree harassment following the incident that occurred at approximately 12:50 a.m. on March 18.
Sheriff Craig S. DuMond said deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a domestic dispute.
Upon investigation, deputies discovered Goodman had been involved in a physical altercation with his wife.
Authorities later determined there was an active order of protection in place between the two parties.
Goodman was transported to the Delaware County Correctional Facility where he was held for centralized arraignment court.
