AUBURN — Auburn police have arrested six individuals and recovered six firearms following a shooting incident that left one man injured earlier this month.
On Saturday, March 8, just before 2 a.m., officers responded to 65 Southbridge Street for a report of shots fired in the area.
Upon arrival, officers found an adult male with a single gunshot wound to the shoulder and numerous individuals fleeing the scene.
The victim received medical aid and was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
During their investigation, officers and detectives recovered 60 spent shell casings of varying calibers, indicating multiple firearms had been discharged.
Two handguns were found discarded in brush outside the building, and four additional firearms were located hidden inside the building.
Among those arrested was 39-year-old Marta Molina of Oxford, who was charged with possession of a firearm without an LTC and possession of ammunition without an LTC.
Felix Toledo-Caraballo, 21, of Worcester, was arrested on March 14 and has been deemed dangerous by the court and is being held in custody.
Two 18-year-olds, Alwin Cordero and Jariel Santos, both of Worcester, were also arrested and are being held pending dangerousness hearings.
Two juveniles—a 16-year-old male and a 17-year-old female—were also taken into custody and face firearms charges.
The town’s Department of Development and Inspectional Services and the Auburn Fire Department are working with the property owner to ensure compliance with bylaws and regulations.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing and additional charges may be filed.
