ROSENDALE — A local man faces multiple charges after police found him allegedly impaired behind the wheel of a disabled vehicle on State Route 213.
Ryan Schoenau, 31, of Rosendale, was arrested on Feb. 12 after officers responded to reports of a disabled vehicle blocking a driving lane.
According to the Rosendale Police Department, officers determined Schoenau was operating the vehicle while his ability was impaired by both alcohol and narcotics.
Schoenau was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Driving While Ability Impaired By Drugs, both misdemeanors.
Additional charges are pending, police said.
Following his arrest, Schoenau was transported to Health Alliance in Kingston for evaluation.
He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Rosendale Court at a later date.
