ENOSBURGH — A local man was arrested Tuesday evening after allegedly stealing items from Hannaford Supermarket and violating a previous trespass order.
Mark Clapper, 27, of Enosburgh, was taken into custody at approximately 7:19 p.m. on March 18 at the supermarket located at 71 Jay View Drive.
Troopers from the St. Albans Barracks responded to a reported retail theft and determined Clapper had left the store without paying for several items.
Officers located Clapper with the stolen merchandise and discovered he had previously been issued a trespass order prohibiting him from entering the store.
Clapper was arrested on charges of unlawful trespass and retail theft.
He was released on citation and is scheduled to be arraigned at Franklin County Criminal Court on March 19 at 1 p.m.
