CAPE ELIZABETH — The Maine State Police announced Tuesday that a woman found deceased at Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth has been identified as 52-year-old Sari Carlson of Portland.
The body was discovered on March 14 at the popular coastal park, according to state police officials.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta made the positive identification after authorities had sought public assistance in identifying the woman.
The cause and manner of death remain pending as detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Carlson’s death.
State police had previously released photos seeking help from the public to identify the woman.
