BERLIN — A Berlin man was arrested on child pornography charges following an investigation that began with an internet tip in 2024.
William Prickett, 77, was arrested on March 5 and presented at New Britain Superior Court for arraignment, according to the Berlin Police Department.
Prickett was charged with possession of child pornography in the first degree under Connecticut General Statutes.
Police said they began investigating Prickett, a resident of 1725 Berlin Turnpike, after receiving an internet tip last year.
An arrest warrant was granted in March before Prickett was taken into custody.
Authorities said Prickett has since been released on a $250,000 bond.
