KINGSTON — A 40-year-old Kingston woman was arrested on felony charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop in the city, according to the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies stopped the woman’s vehicle on Green Street in Kingston for a traffic infraction at approximately 2:30 a.m. on March 16.
During the investigation, deputies determined the woman was allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated with a child present, authorities said.
The woman was also allegedly found in possession of a controlled substance, leading to an additional charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor.
She was released with an appearance ticket to appear in Kingston City Court at a later date.
