SHAFTSBURY — A Brooklyn man was cited for negligent operation after Vermont State Police clocked him traveling at 93 mph in a 55 mph zone on U.S. Route 7.
Joshua Grossman, 27, was stopped by troopers at approximately 11:03 p.m. on March 17 near mile marker 20 in Shaftsbury.
According to police, troopers were conducting routine traffic enforcement when they observed Grossman’s vehicle traveling northbound at a high rate of speed.
Police reported the vehicle’s speed was 93 mph and still increasing when they initiated the traffic stop.
Grossman was issued a citation for negligent operation and ordered to appear in Vermont Superior Court Bennington Criminal Division on May 12 to answer to the charge.
He was also issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint totaling 2 points and a waiver penalty of $572.
