Rochester man arrested for DUI after crash on North Main Street

ROCHESTER — Troopers from the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks arrested a Bethel man for driving under the influence following a crash on North Main Street on Monday.

Robert Franks, 67, was taken into custody at approximately 12:51 p.m. after officers responded to reports of a vehicle accident in Rochester.

Upon arrival at the scene, troopers observed signs of impairment after confirming Franks had been operating a motor vehicle on a public roadway.

Investigators determined there was probable cause to arrest Franks for DUI II, his second offense.

Franks was arrested without incident and transported to the VSP Royalton Barracks for processing.

After processing, he was released with a citation to appear in Windsor County Court at a later date.
