WOONSOCKET — Rhode Island State Police arrested a Woonsocket man Sunday on an active bench warrant following a motor vehicle stop.
Troopers from the Scituate Barracks arrested Brandon Lewis, 30, of 42 Blackstone Street, Woonsocket, at 10:10 a.m. on March 17.
Lewis was wanted on a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for failure to appear for a probation hearing on the original charge of resisting arrest, which originated from the Woonsocket Police Department.
The arrest occurred during a motor vehicle stop on Rathbun Street in Woonsocket.
Lewis was processed at State Police Headquarters and subsequently transferred to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.
