Pedestrian suffers life-threatening injuries in Manchester crash

MANCHESTER — A 60-year-old Manchester man suffered serious, life-threatening injuries after being struck by a pickup truck early Sunday morning.

The Manchester Police Department responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Second St and Harvell St at approximately 6:30 a.m. on March 16.

Upon arrival, officers found that the crash involved a white Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 53-year-old male from Manchester.

The pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Chevrolet did not sustain any injuries.

The Manchester Police Department’s Traffic Unit is currently investigating the cause of the crash.
