MANCHESTER — A Manchester man was arrested Sunday after police discovered an illegal firearm and multiple motor vehicle violations during a routine matter.
Daniel Garcia, of 1907 Broad Street, Apt. 2S, Manchester, was taken into custody on March 16 after officers found he was operating an unregistered motor vehicle with improper plates.
Further investigation revealed Garcia had a shotgun in his vehicle despite being ineligible to possess firearms.
Garcia faces charges of criminal possession of a firearm, operating under suspension, operating without a license, misuse of plates, operating an unregistered vehicle and operating without insurance.
He was released on a $25,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Rockville court on April 2.
