MORETOWN — A Virginia man was arrested Sunday morning after state police found his vehicle blocking a roadway in Moretown.
Douglas Macgarvey, 45, of Franktown, Virginia, was charged with driving under the influence after troopers discovered his stationary vehicle obstructing traffic on Cobb Hill Road at approximately 10:46 a.m. on March 16.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police Berlin Barracks conducted a traffic stop and identified Macgarvey as the operator of the vehicle.
During their interaction with Macgarvey, officers observed signs of impairment.
Following an investigation at the scene, Macgarvey was taken into custody and transported to the Berlin Police Department for processing.
Macgarvey was issued a citation to appear in Washington County Superior Court on April 3 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the DUI charge.
