WAREHAM — Officers from the Wareham Police Department responded to an armed robbery at China Chef restaurant located at 1 Depot Street just before midnight on March 15.
According to police, an employee reported that a male suspect dressed in all black clothing with a bandana covering his face displayed a black revolver-style firearm and demanded money.
The suspect reached over the counter and took an undetermined amount of U.S. currency from the register before fleeing the restaurant on foot.
Officers conducted an extensive search of the area with assistance from a Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department K-9 unit but were unable to locate the suspect.
The Wareham Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the incident.
