WILTON — State Police arrested two men on drug charges following a traffic stop on I-87 Monday afternoon.
Jaheim T. Gadsen Marble, 37, of Schenectady, was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, tampering with physical evidence and conspiracy in the fourth degree.
Abel O. Garcia Romano, 28, of Albany, was arrested for conspiracy in the fourth degree and vehicle and traffic law violations.
Troopers stopped a vehicle on I-87 in Wilton at about 3:25 p.m. for a traffic violation.
With assistance from the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit, police discovered felony-weight narcotics hidden on Gadsen Marble, which he allegedly attempted to conceal.
Investigators said Garcia Romano, who was driving the vehicle, had knowledge that Gadsen Marble possessed the drugs.
Both men were transported to State Police Wilton for processing.
Garcia Romano was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Wilton Town Court on April 8 and released.
Gadsen Marble was arraigned at Moreau Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility without bail.
