Two arrested after knife altercation at Willimantic Dunkin’ Donuts

WILLIMANTIC — Two men were arrested following a knife altercation at a local Dunkin’ Donuts on Saturday, police said.

Willimantic police officers responded to the coffee shop at 1015 Main Street at approximately 4:45 p.m. after receiving reports of an altercation involving two individuals, one allegedly armed with a knife.

Officers arrested Adrian James Seace, 18, and David Michael Peguero, 30, after reviewing evidence including video footage that showed both individuals in fighting stances.

According to police, Seace was seen aggressively slashing toward Peguero multiple times with a knife.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

Peguero was charged with breach of peace in the second degree and interfering with an officer/resisting.

He was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

Seace faces more serious charges including criminal attempt assault in the first degree, reckless endangerment in the first degree, and breach of peace in the second degree.

He was released on a $35,000 non-surety bond.

Both men are scheduled to appear in Danielson Superior Court on March 24.

Police described the incident as isolated with no ongoing threat to the public.
