DIXFIELD — A search warrant executed at a Porter Road residence in Dixfield led to the seizure of more than 1,600 marijuana plants and 23 pounds of processed marijuana, according to the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office.
The warrant was executed at approximately 9 a.m. Tuesday after law enforcement officials received information about a large-scale illegal marijuana growing operation at the property.
The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office conducted the raid in cooperation with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies.
No individuals were present at the residence during the execution of the search warrant.
Property records indicate the residence is owned by a 38-year-old female from Boston, Massachusetts.
The investigation remains ongoing, according to Chief Deputy James Urquhart of the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office.
