CAPE ELIZABETH — The Maine State Police are seeking the public’s help to identify a woman whose body was discovered washed ashore at Fort Williams Park near Portland Head Light.
The body was found Thursday, March 13, at approximately 1:50 p.m., according to a statement from the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit South.
Authorities described the deceased as a white female estimated to be in her early 40s, approximately 5’3″ tall, with brown hair and blue eyes.
The woman was wearing a medium-sized blue Fjallraven T-shirt, Frame dark-washed jeans (size 28), and brown AirWair boots (size 7).
Police noted several identifying features, including a yin-yang tattoo on her left hip surrounded by a blue tornado, a scar on her stomach from an appendectomy, and a scar on the back of her head from a previous surgery with a surgical patch still attached.
